Chronological order tends to work best, as everyone else seems to suggest.
However, I'd be careful with R if you really hate shounenai. Nonetheless,
it's a great movie. S is a lot of fun, with a lot of character developemnt
for Luna and Artemis and a chilling (literally) villainess. SS is silly,
escapist fun with a lot of Chibi-Usa in it.

Each movie is very close in spirit to the TV series it was paired with. Thus
R has a lot to do with unrequited love, S involves a pure heart under
threat, and SS involves dreams (in this case the dreams of children).

If there had been a movie for Sailor Stars, I wonder what it would have been
like?
