Ok...who has one? And how much did you pay for it, if you don't mind me
asking.

Here is the reason. The other day I got a small catalog at work from a
Mexican (yes! Not based in Mexico, but catering to the Mexican kids toy
market) toy distributer. Although most of the toys were Latin dolls and El
Chupacabras (hehehe...ugly!) etc. There were also a bunch of different kinds
of little Gremlin toys that looked about ten years old and.....Included in
the choice of toys they distribute was the Ryo-Ohki Backpack! And Tarepanda
pillows!
I was really surprised and didn't know what to make of it.

The Ryo-ohki Back Pack is really cheap. The minimum order prices it at $6.50
per item, with a larger order they go down to $5 a piece. I was thinking it
would be fun to sell them, even on a webpage or ebay...so I made a search.
They seem to sell on ebay for $14.99, although all the websites show them as
$24.99- $29.99 retail.

So I am wondering if these are knockoffs? I am going to call to ask, just for
fun. The business card attached is a guy with a Japanese last name, maybe
these are just overstock? Perhaps our Ryo-Ohki was a poor seller?

Anyway, if you have one, what is it like and how did you come by it? Do you
think I could sell them for $14.99? Since the minimum order is 48, I thought
I better do some homework here... :-)

Thanks,
Kath
