I always thought war was more of an action taken when resolve between two
or more disputing parties could not be reached. ^_^

War is unnecessary if all parties are open minded and use reason as the
grounds to settle the dispute. When 1 or more parties refuses to meet on
the grounds of reason, then war becomes necessary. It's just like when
Azaka faced off with the dark royal knight of kagato (Tetta?). Azaka tried
to reason with the dark knight by explaining to him that Tenchi was the
true crown prince, not the current emperor of Jurai. Despite Azaka's
attempts to reason, the dark knight responded with "Yeah, who
cares?". That's when its time to stick a big fat Jurai boot in somebodies
(__@__). =^x_o^

If it is true that "might does not make right", then war is indeed
wrong. If reason makes right, and they cannot be reasoned with, then war
is inevitable, assuming the opinions of all parties conflict with the lives
of each.

This i find very true. i don't see how fighting gets things solved.
