Well, it was 10 years since I bought a computer (I had
a IIfx that was custom upgraded in 100 different
wasy), and figured I get one that would survive at
least 10 more years, and DVD authoring was something I
planned to do with it.
If I had known about all the lies and bugs Apple was
spewing, I probably wouldn't have bought the Cinema
dispaly. But I'm glad I did. I can't say how
absolutely fucking awesome it is.

Is it really that much better. I know the visuals are
stunning. But I don't really care about that. I want
my applications to work and work cooperatively.
Any software incompatibilities?
I don't want to touch a beta with iso-tongs. It took
so much to get everything working on my G4, I haven't
even loaded postscript fonts, yet. I'm still too
paranoid (for graphics I have interpreters to do the
fonts, the rest I suffer with the basic truetype, or
convert to truetype).
I'll be waiting for the Full Release version, unless
there is a big price break for getting the Beta and upgrading.
