it seems to me that Sakuya has the distinct advantage of not having a Ryoko or Ayeka

around to take up her time with Tenchi.

It isnt as lae because the show knows it's slapstick most of the time, but the humor
just
doesn't work, IMO. So it's not as lame, but just as corny to me.
