Here's a quick description of what happens:

After beating the lord of Koka castle (snake man ep.1) and some additional
adventures, Gatts later faces a count who turns out to be a disciple of God
Hand. After a long fight, he defeats the (mutated) count, who remains
alive, but defenseless. The count's blood comes into contact with his
behelit, which results in a summonig of God Hand. A vortex surrounds the
castle and the whole place turns into a surreal 3D stair maze and God Hand
appears. Gatts adresses one of them as Griffith and starts aproaching him
with his sword (this is the first time we see GH in the manga). There's
quite some talking going on, but my japanese isn't good enough to make
anything useful out of it. ^^;

For the following scenes, there's a scan+translation at "Black Sun Over
Midland", so I'll skip this part and just give the URL (BTW they also
scanned other chapters from Berserk):

and

After that, GH demands the count's daughter Theresia as a price/sacrifice
for his restoration(?), but the count hesitates, which results in him being
taken instead (by some sort of string, which appears from the vortex and
seemingly consists of countless victims of GH and their disciples). Before
Gatts can be taken as well (remember, he still bears the mark of sacrifice
from his first GH encounter), he manages to load his arm cannon and fires
it at Femto (cool scene :). Due to the force of the shot, Gatts is freed
from the grip of the 'human string'. The projectile impacts and explodes on
some invisible barrier just before reaching Femto, who just stands and
watches. For some reason, GH withdraws leaving Gatts, Pakk and Theresia in
the ruins of the count's castle.

Since my japanese reading abilities aren't very good, I had to guess some
of the above stuff. If someone spots any errors, I'm glad if they're
corrected. ^_^

ciao
 Kristian
