        It is high because it is reported more often than in other countries. 
The rates are probably higher in other countries especially in one's with 
very ambigous sex crime laws but it is not reported in those countries for 
various socio-economic and cultural reasons. I heard that all over Africa, 
sex crimes aganist women and children occur more often than they do in the 
United States.
