Nadesico in general is great. It was voted the best all time 
anime last year (Animage?). The story rips on Macross quite 
a bit, and a tad bit on eva. Don't get to attached to any
characters. You will also find it usefull if you can mute
the TV anytime Yurika ever says anything.  

Beware the ending tho.

The ending to Nadesico is awefull..

But there is hope.

Nadesico the Movie rocks top to bottom. I can't tell
you what it is about without spoiling you. 

There is a OVA called Gekigangar 3 which is also pretty
good. 

With how popular this series is, and also how well done
the TV anime was, and how popular Ruri-Ruri is, I would 
be amazed if we did not see another TV series or OVA
sometime in the near future. Esp given what happens
in the movie.
