Well, like Dan said, it isn't actually strange that we're seeing tons of
earthquakes. Technically there are earthquakes all the time, but they're
small. What I do find strange is that there were several high magnitude
earthquakes. So we may be seeing a rise in the various pacific plate
activity. If so, everyone on the pacific rim should be prepare for them,
just to be safe.

Of course, Turkey is nowhere near the pacific... maybe its a global rise
of plate activity... ?

Any geologists on this list? 8)

Well, I don't think any prophecies have ever caused earthquakes. 8)
Earthquakes are caused by something else.. prohecies can only try and
predict them.

But there are definately prophecies that predict <ominous voice> "we will
begin to see many earthquakes as we near the year 2000..." </ominous voice>
... but its so vague that most of them are not of any use BEFORE the
incident. Only after... 8)

If they had said, "On September XX, 1999 at XX:XXpm, there will be a large
earthquake centered in XXXX, Taiwan."... THEN that would have been a very
good and useful prediction.
