(For those of you who have not been following the original threads, Aeka's
character design in at least one of the Manga Episodes + True Tenchi novels
has been changed. She now sports a design that looks a bit like Aun from 
Photon,
it is a lighter blue then Sasami's, and her key (tiara) is showing.

Why the extreme reaction? Cause he changed the character design? Jeez...
get over it.

Take a look at the expression on Aeka's face. Her mannerisms are still
there.

To me, the Tenchi novels are the best thing since the original seven OVA's
(and #13, since that was originally #6).

Partially, this is because the new novels are consistent with the feel and
the scope of Tenchi. Partially, it is because the characters are consistent
with the OVA characterizations (none of the spin offs of Tenchi manage that).

So, what exactly have the novels given us:

-Yousho has had at lest three kids.
- Eiri was his first love in the Science Academy.
- Kasumi was the second.
- Whoever Kiyone's mom was the third.

- Azusa did not just give up with one suitor, he brought a whole bunch of
them, and Mihoshi beat them all.

- Washu had a friend in the science academy (Najya Akara) who was just
as brilliant as her. She was the prototype for Kagato. She died in a Pirate 
raid
on a Jurain world.

- Washu was indeed found with the gems, as a orphan.

- Seto, one of the most powerful on the Jurain council, was found on a 
abandoned
world. (conspiracy theorists take notes).

- Azusa dueled w/ Kagato and lost.
