Hmmm....I didn't really think she seemed much older. But, your point is still the
same valid
one. Yes, she knows the rudimentery information, even at 8-10 years old. But that
doesn't mean
that she is thinking about details, not at all.

Exactly. Little girls (having been one and raised one) do want to know where babies
come
from.......just not EXACTLY how it happens! There is a point where they say something
like a
typical Jerry Springer guest "Don't even go there!" and just want the details glossed
over or
omited. Now when it comes to having a baby, the dream and wish is almost always there...but

everything leading up to the point of holding that baby in their arms is too much
to think
about. I see Sasami at this level. I can easily see her saying "Ewww GROSS! Don't
talk about
that!" if the subject of sex was brought up. Much like her "Ewww! It smells like sake!"

comment. Having a baby is one thing, having a sexual relationship is miles apart,
to a child.

There is an old joke about how a little kid asks her parents where their new baby
cousin came
from. The parents, progressive thinking and figuring that "this is it"...launched
into a
detailed description of the basic anatomical procedures involved. After hearing it
all, the
child whose eyes had grown huge, backs away pale and stunned.....mumbling "Gee, I
thought
maybe she came from Ohio, like me."

Sasami knows enough to be able to say "You're a naughty boy" when he sees breasts
and gets a
nosebleed, but she isn't thinking about having sex with Tenchi or anyone else!

Yes, very much so. Sasami will be a wonderful mother one day. One far off day. :-)
