Cherry blossoms are a symbol of life's ephemeralness. If a hero or heroine
dies young, there are usually cherry blossoms floating around in the wind
somewhere. Like mayflies, except that sakura petals are MUCH prettier and
don't go squch when you step on them.

Where were they used in the OVAs?
