Pioneer provides the money for the making and so they are the chief
copyright holder - Pioneer decided on the title for the 2nd Tenchi movie
in the U.S. against the wishes of AIC. There is no question in my mind
that the perversion of Tenchi is at the behest of Pioneer for the sake of
whatever market they were targetting. Even with the OAV series. They
went from a very cool intro in OAV 1-7 to some cutesy crap for the 2nd OAV
"bakka no watta Pioneer". Ugghhh. The intent had changed. The quality
changed. OAV 8 and 11 were good, 12 & 13 o.k. and 9 & 10 were awful.
They need to go talk to Katsuhiro Otomo and learn what it means to truly
be committed to excellence.
