Hrum...now that is a questionable statement. ^_^; People who stick to
US products are missing out on a whole world of nifty stuff. Omake,
special inserts, special packing, and a special appreciation of how
small time international markets work(ie. exchange rates, customs,
etc. ^_^).

I guess I need examples. The stuff I keep seeing is either in
mono, stereo, and on rare occasions 5.1 Japanese/stereo English.
Of course, the only exception I can think of off the top of my
head is Tenchi Muyo in Love. Wow! I even managed to keep this
slightly topical to the ML! ^_^;;;;

But like I said, if the dialog, soundtrack, and more importantly,
the effects track were all laid out in stereo, how is remixing it
in 5.1 going to help? You can even make the case that remixing it
is flimsy and alters the original in a way just like "colorization"
does for black and white films.

BTW, my point with saying "this is on LD" is just the simple
observation that there is plenty out there on LD that will not
get to DVD. The march forward often leaves things behind.

Wow...out of all of the others I would have thought that would
have elicited a response of "Are you nuts?" ^_^

The only reason why I even bother posting back at all was
I keep hearing how "DVD is better than sliced bread and will
save the world". The heart of the mater is that DVD is only
marginally better. Think about it this way: 3.5" Floppy disks
are in every way shape and form better than 5.25" Floppy disks but
just how much better were they really?
