  Hm.. perhaps the kanji do mean different things in Chinese than in
Japanese.  Cuz the Chinese meaning for that name will earn him a lot of
laughs.  (After which those people will probably be sorry to have
laughed.. 8)  )

  Only by the stretch of the imagination can the name be taken to mean
that in Chinese..  if you say that the name is an ordering of "levels."
"Gods, then me, then men."

  Anyone know exactly what those kanji mean in Japanese?
