no, the video output out of hte DVD player might be PAL, but their machines
will read NTSC disc without problems.  Most of Europe watches NTSC LD's
instead of PAL ones.  many of ht newer sets will even allow input of both
PAL nad NTSC.  The optical plaeyrs in Europe can deal with both PAL nad
NTSC encoding.
