about piloting it doesn't seem that Ryoko or Nagi do much piloting.  let's
see, OAV2, Ryoko and Tenchi are beamed up onto Ryo-Ohki, Ryoko while
standing, "Ryo-Ohki let's make our getaway."  and there are other scenes,
Ryoko far from *any* control panel, "Ryo-Ohki attack!"

kind of doubtful if ppl like Nagi or Ryoko are hte best of pilots.  they
seem to just give commands to the ships nad they ship do their own things.
but there must be some bond as have said.  it's one thing to be a pet, but
another thing to be a pet so loyal it's get shot at time after time for you.
