Hi,

I've been lurking here for a while and following this legal discussion with
more than usual interest.

I think a significant point has been missed regarding the timing of Ryoko's
release from the cave: the decision to release Ryoko was effectively made
by Yousho, who one would suspect knew enough of Juraian law to realise that
the Statute of Limitations was about to expire.

Does anyone have any thoughts on Yousho's possible motivation for
deliberately keeping Ryoko away from his original home's justice? Including
the distinct possibility that, in his opinion, Juraian law is as screwed up
as Juraian court politics?

        Cheers,
