Ah, but Tenchi didn't release Ryoko, he just doesn't know it. Wait, don't go
away, I am going to cite chapter and verse. Take a look at frame 14845 on
the Pioneer OVA 1. Ryoko is held by Funaho's roots: in accord with what
Washu shows us in OVA 10, Ryoko's Masu component can be dominated by a
superior mind, such as Funaho's presumably is. She can be controlled through
the gems(and the Tenchi-ken), as we see in OVA 5 that Kagato activates her
one real gem to control her.(When he murdered Tenchi, she was made strong
enough to convince her Masu component she was in charge, I think). Tenchi
is a bright kid, and about the time he discovers that he could have
controlled Ryoko with the Sword, he is going to realize that he was set up,
and then...

>Aeka: A Princess, RELATED, someone HE caused to get stranded on earth when
HE released Ryoko. He probally feels real bad about that still.

Aeka seized and tortured Ryoko in clear violation of her own people's laws,
out of her petty self-delusion that Ryoko was the source of her problems.
Ryoko's taking down Ryu-oh was a universally comprehensable act of self
preservation (Ryoko could have tried to kill Aeka, and didn't, why?). Of
course, Tenchi doesn't know this. About the time Tenchi realizes that he
isn't responsible for ressurecting Ryoko, Aeka is going to have to confess,
or be damned in her own eyes. If Tenchi were to learn that Aeka had hung
Ryoko by her ankles and tortured her, it would throw Ryoko's behavior toward
her in a very different light, to say the least.
I think a reasonable outcome of such a senario would be for Tenchi
to return Ryoko's gems, and tell her she didn't owe him anything, at which
point Ryoko would say it doesn't matter, she still loves him. The Ryoko-Aeka
rivalry might continue on a less pathological basis, or Aeka might be too
humiliated to continue.(Pardon my little excursion here).

>Washu: SCARY !! Remember how he reacted in Ep 7 when he went to get
everyone for breakfast???

Unless overactive hormones later led him to let her play doctor again? No
basis for a real relationship here. He is definately that immature
sexually.(Seems to be going through a very prolonged and 7 or 8 year delayed
puberty, must be that Jurian heritage ) You bet she's scary, and a big fat
liar to boot! Just ask Ryoko; who's overall personal integrity is amazing
considering the abuse she has taken.

>Besides if Tenchi finally did decide on one of them then that would be the
end of the series !!!!!
