It starts off with (I've only seen it 3 times, all of them about 5 weeks
ago) Ryoko on the dock with a fishing poll. Mihoshi and Sasami trot up
Mihoshi: something like "What ya' doin there Ryoko?"
Ryoko: "Isn't it obvious to you."
Mihoshi:"Well, no, not really."
Sasami looks down and we see a few carrots next to Ryoko.
Sasami:"Are those carrots for Ryo-ohki?"
Then the fishing poll starts to bend.
Ryoko: "Eureka!"
She pulls up Ryo-ohki in a miniature diving outfit, holding a fish in her
arms. The fish manages to squirm away.
Ryoko:"You don't get a carrot til you get me a fish."
Mihoshi:"Honestly Ryoko, I think you're expecting too much."
Then we see Tenchi putting some clothes away (I suppose they had just
got back from their trip to the onsen in episode 9), and discovers his
mothers kimono. Tenchi gets sentimental (we see an image of her, she does
NOT look exactly like the version in the movie, she has a sorta dark blue
hair color for instance) and hangs the kimono up in front of the window.
When he comes back later in the day he finds Ryoko has put it on. Ryoko
asks if Tenchi thinks she looks good, Tenchi says yes, Ryoko is has a sort
of happy spasm and manages to accidentally tear on arm off. Then she
tears the other one off to make it balanced. Tenchi loses it and shouts
"I hate you" just as Ryo-ohki is coming into the room.
The basic synopsis of the rest is Ryo-ohki runs out to the field
and sulks Tenchi finds her and appologizes, but Ryo-ohki does
not emotionally recover fully because she wants to help Tenchi work in
the field and can't. Then she sleeps next to a tank in Washu's lab with
some floating milk duds called "masses". They pick up on her sentiment,
burst out of the tank later on and form a female looking mud person so to
speak which goes to the field and scares the begeses out of Tenchi.
Meanwhile the rest of the gang is at the tank and we learn that Washu used
masses along with her ovum to create Ryoko. Ryo-ohki is made with a
mass/mineral life combo. The gang figures out what is going on, goes out
to the field where Tenchi has overcome his timidity and approached the
entity, and tell him it's dangerous (he bigns to run) and then that
running will only entice it (he stops dead with one leg supporting). If
the masses detect the hidden power in Tenchi they will attack. No good
explanation why, probably the least well written episode. Tenchi falls
over, the masses approach and Ryoko comes down just in time to absorb the
blast (leaves very big crater). Ryo-ohki then leaps on the thing and
becomes one with it, and this is how Ryo-ohki's humanoid form is created.
Apparently they had a good idea for the beginning, a good one for the end,
but did not know how to motivate it very well.
Okay, let someone else summarize the other 2 episodes!
