    2 sticky points.  One, because Aeka and Sasami underwent
    suspended animation, they aren't really "older" than Tenchi
    in a physical or mental sense.  Two, I haven't encountered
    anything that limits a tree's selected partner by age.  So
    maybe you can still be an old man and still be selected by
    a royal tree.  I guess if Tenchi wants to pair up with a
    tree, he has an entire lifetime to wait.  ^_^

    By the way, how old was OVA Achika when she underwent the
    ceremony with Funaho?
