Naw...remember that having Tenchi carry Aeka was Yousho's idea.  
Although I like the previously mentioned idea, I would have to say 
that it's probably Yousho's doing.  Since he wanted Aeka and Tenchi 
to get together, he made it sound that the sprang was worst than it 
appeared.  A perfect setup to get the two of them to spend time 
together.

Above all, Yousho has lots of fun manipulating people.  ^_^;
