I beg to differ about them being just makeup. It's difficult to put 
makeup on a hologrammatic representation of a Spaceship/Tree's 
personality ... ^_^

Tsunami's image is based on a projection of Sasami's future appearance. 
Sasami also gained forehead markings at the same time. Not too sure 
why Sasami's markings are different from Tsunami's though. They 
start out round, but then change.
