Sorry for the late response, but this is only coming to my VERY old yahoo account
-- an account I had to stop using when they forced the new layout, making it impossible,
with my poor vision, to navigate and read...

If anyone is really interested, my current address is on gmail -- same address, just
at gmail.com.

Just giving a reminder that Ai Tenchi
 Muyo! begins
airing October 6th on Tokyo MX. It will air Mon-Fri
with 50 episodes that are 5 minutes in length per
 episode.

I watched the first 5 episodes, and even with my better understanding (I got 90-95%
accuracy on GXP without any subtitles) I was pretty much lost and wondering WTF was
going on. After going over a few things, I realized it was chaotic and not
revealing a lot of information... I'm guessing, deliberately.
I also dislike the fact that from the first 5 episodes, this is clearly running with
the Tenchi Muyo! TV line, both character actions and landscape design make it clear
-- I'd have thought that if it were going for the anniversary, it would initially

base itself in the OVA universe. The TV universe does have benefits, though, but
not my favorite versions of the characters.

What I'm mainly wondering about is, why the change of character art? It already exists.
In fact, I can go to Manhattan and find the design books at 3 stores... why the need
to make them (not just the new characters) practical copies of less
significant anime? Has the market in Japan changed so much that character art must
match some of the most redundant harem anime, in order to spike a response?

When I can sit down and watch the rest, uninterrupted on my 55" monitor, I'll do so,
but, at the moment, it's not a high priority.
