ungh.. i needed to pick up a hard copy of Ai yori Aoshi/enishi as well. Now i have
tow orry if they're gonna fuck that up as well. Thanks for the lik, but theres no
piont in snagging just the first volume, i wanted the whole thing. Im really pissed
i
never did snag the DVD set back in the day. I was gonna wait for it to drop in price
then kinda forgot about it. Now i basically have to just take a gamble that Funimation
wont utterly screw up their encode on this when they release it like they did
Red garden.

I am a bit annoyed that they're the major anime release group. They have improved
since those horrible DBZ days you mention, but they still suck. Their releases fluctuate
wildly from pretty decent, to piss poor and damn near unwatchable. I really am
stunned at the Red garden release. Seriously, how the hell did that pass QC? Do they
just not have it? Their customer service is garbage too. Its been like 4 days and
i still havent got a response from them when i asked what was going on, and if their

save package release fixed this.

It seems these companies just dont give a crap. Between that, and the way NIS screwed
up the video on the Toradora! DVD release, im thinking of just getting another external
HD and sticking with fansubs. I really wanted that Toradora! box set too, the
artbook looked cool. Why the hell is the R2 release always so much better looking
than the R1 releases? I dont know much about coding, but i would think it should be
straightforward to have a copy of equal quality

You can find the other volumes on eBay and half.com, but they're not cheap. Luckily,

actually has a lot of old Geneon titles for ridiculously cheap.

back when all Funi had was crappy, edited versions of DBZ. Now they're just about
the only serious player in the R1 anime game. I do think they put out quality products,
