The male participant in a harem usually has at least a certain amount of ch
oice about what's going on. Given what we've been told about male seikijin
in this setting, that doesn't appear to be the case here...

Random comments about the series (I've seen through episode 4 - #3 and #4 a
s raw - so spoilers apply up through those episodes) -

Doll's place in the series is of some interest. She appears to be importan
t, but hasn't turned up again. She also seems to me to be a psychotic vers
ion of "D".

I noted that there's another female in the opening that doesn't appear to h
ave turned up yet. During the sequence with the naked females, there's a r
ed-head a little over half-way through the roll that is shown. And she's n
ot Chaiaia - the latter is shown shortly afterwards.

We also have the female wearing the white mask. She showed up briefly in e
pisode 1 piloting a mecha with a sniper rifle and appeared to have decided
to save the then-falling Kenshi until Aura appeared and did it for her. Sh
e's then seen again briefly in episode 4, this time evading Kenshi. Who is
she, and what's she up to? There's a possibility that it's Mexia (Chaiaia
's sister, whose name I probably mispelled) as the latter disappeared when
the masked female first showed up, and was discovered by Kenshi wearing not
a whole lot (panties and an unbuttoned shirt) right after the masked femal
e slipped away in episode 4. But there doesn't seem to be any good explana
tion as to why Mexia would need to wear the mask in episode 1. It's not as
if Mexia didn't already have a reason to spy on the carrier and to save Ke
nshi. If it was her, then there doesn't seem to be a reason to hide her id
entity (and I don't think that Mexia's mecha is the same one that
the masked female pilots, in any case - though they both have long rifles)
. It's possible that the masked female is the missing redhead mentioned ab
ove. The masked female also has a distorted voice, although the reason for
this hasn't been shown either. She's often heard talking to the man who t
raveled with Lashara.

When does Kenshi sleep? Seriously! The guy is extremely active all day lo
ng, accomplishes time consuming tasks in very short periods of time, outrun
s half the female student population to the point where they literally coll
apse from exhaustion and he's still energetic enough to help carry them bac
k to a collection point. And add to that the fact that he sneaks out every
night to go foraging in the local forest! When does he sleep, exactly!?

Mecha appear to typically be in a variety of colors - except black and whit
e. Those two colors are apparently very rare. Thus the additional interes
t in the units piloted by Kenshi and Doll. Based on Sora's translation, th
e color of a given mecha appears to indicate something about the mecha itse
lf. Since white mecha are rare, the dialogue indicates that studying it in
action won't reveal much since there aren't enough other white mecha to co
mpare it to.

Kenshi's mecha fighting style comes across as extremely feral. His ability
to use his mecha tail offensively is apparently unusual (then again, the o
nly other mecha that we've seen with a tail is Chaiaia's, and her's clearly
isn't built in a way that will allow her to use it like Kenshi does; she d
oes briefly use hers to screen her, however). The mecha themselves remind
me stylistically of Mamoru Nagano (Five Star Stories, Heavy Metal L-Gaim, s
ome Zeta Gundam stuff), with Kenshi's mecha seeming to be a more feral vers
ion of the LED Mirage from Five Star Stories.

What was the deal with the dialogue at the start of episode 1? Who was spe
aking?

Leotard, cat ears, and ear muffs. I think I'm in agreement with Kenshi her
e. I figure it's just Kajishima showing his usual sense of humor/ridiculou
sness and also allowing Kenshi to poke fun at the absurdity of the same.

While Kenshi is clearly a superior fighter (both in and out of his mecha),
Chaiaia demonstrates an ability to duplicate his style after only fighting
against him once. That shows a pretty high degree of skill and a very inte
resting talent on her part. Unfortunately her mecha can't handle the stres
ses involved.

Episode 1 has lots of mecha fighting. The OP showcases the mecha. And we
haven't seen them since... Kajishima's TAUNTING ME!!!

A lot of Chaiaia's attitude seems to be a response to her sister's overly f
amiliar personality (one comment from Kenshi illustrates the problems Mexia
's familiarity can cause - "Mexia-san-sensei-nee-chan"; note that said comm
ent is made as Mexia hand-feeds Kenshi the meal on his plate, much to the l
atter's discomfort) and generally mischievous nature. And yes, Mexia's att
itude does cause problems aside from discomfort. Much of episode 3 appears
to be tied to this... It's worth noting that Larasha's dialogue in episod
e 1 suggests that even she's scared of getting Chaiaia angry.

Aura seems to be aware of some significance to both a white and a black sei
ki being together. Nothing's been said about this since episode 1, however
.

If I caught the dialogue correctly, then in episode 4 Kenshi attributes his
swordsmanship to his grandfather. No real surprise for us there, of cours
e... :P

It appears that seiki are normally kept in an egg-shaped stasis field. The
pilot enters the field to activate the seiki, and when the seiki runs out
of energy (or the pilot wishes to leave it) then the stasis field is reacti
vated. The pilot can enter or leave the field at will. For some unknown r
eason, the field around Aura's seiki is darker in color and referred to by
Doll as a "Dark Elf Field".

Adding to the above, it's my guess that a seiki draws its energy directly f
rom the pilot in some fashion. After Aura pushes her seiki to the limit in
episode one, she's physically exhausted even though all she's done is made
her seiki fly very fast. Kenshi's apparent skill with a seiki might be ti
ed in part to the fact that he seems to have a ridiculous amount of energy.
.. (see my "When does he sleep!?" comments above)

Kenshi's apparently not the first person to arrive from another world. We
don't know anything about other visitors to this world, but Larasha and Cha
iaia don't appear to be overly surprised that Kenshi is from another world.
