Nope. I refused to watch it just from the title... and then I saw the prom
o during an ABC news program... now I will vehemently avoid it. "Reality"
shows of this type always suck, and I don't like watching stuff that promot
es anti-social behavior, active betrayal, and stupidity... most actually en
courage this behavior. Now, if they made a reality show, like survivor, whe
re it really was a survival competition (think "Survivor" crossed with "Sur
vivorman" or "Man vs. Wild") where people survived off their wits and worki
ng together to solve tough problems, THAT would be worth a look.
I have little taste for what passes for American TV anymore. Almost everyt
hing American I watch now comes from the cable networks.
What blows my mind is the number of stolen (or licensed) ideas from the pas
t couple seasons of British and Canadian TV... it's freaking amazing (Eleve
nth Hour, Life on Mars, etc.). I've actually seen the American "Life on Ma
rs" opener already, and compared to the British one, it sucks out loud (and
ghod was the filming dark and hard to see).

Battlestar Galactica
The Shield
The Closer
Mythbusters
Saving Grace
The Daily Show & Colbert Report
Penn & Teller's Bullshit: for the laughs, since most is "no duh"
and maybe one or two others, everything else I watch is stuff captured and
downloaded, from Britain, Canada, Japan, or somewhere in Europe.

I'll probably give the one Action/Drama show a chance (I tend to watch the
first episode of anything that isn't outright stupid or offensive)... I thi
nk it was called "Flashpoint" -- it's the one that stars the gentleman that
 portrayed "Veronica Mars'" father.

I got caught up in Avatar after accidentally catching, IIRC, ep. 14 while f
lipping channels. It's too bad it's been MIA for so long, since other than
a few really bad episodes (the ones that tried to stuff certain morals dow
n the kiddies' throats in particular), I've been really impressed with it.

I, as well. The first season was awesome, the second didn't seem like it w
as written, acted, or filmed by the same people. It seemed just flat and l
ifeless.

That's actually "Takeshi's Castle," and I managed to watch a lot of the epi
sodes RAW (used to play them at Katsucon in the film rooms, a while back, a
s well). Personally, the voice overs I found a little insulting, especiall
y after seeing the original. But, hey, comedy is hard to peg down.=0A=0A
