While I wasn't happy with how TP handled "Slayers" translations (and indeed, how they
will handle all novels by removing Japanese honorifics for a start), the six books
that they released matched the identical six books from Japan. The original books

in Japan are not very big, much like the "Shin Tenchi Muyo" novels. Thus, to make
it fit into a standard American novel size and page-count, the larger font was used.

While I tollerated the translations and bought the novels, it turns out that TP only
licensed the first six volumes of the series. As such, there are still two more volumes
to complete the first story-arc, but we won't see those because TP isn't
going to license them anytime soon due to poor sales.

They are going ahead with other novels though, including "Scrapped Princess" which
is to be sold under their young readers line. If the original novels were aimed at
kids in Japan, then I suppose that's where the title needs to go. However, I won't

be buying the thing because the novels are apparently still being published in Japan
and I can't trust TP to license them all (on top of knowing they'll be at least partially
domesticating the translations).

I already hit them up on this. The response was that they are at present only licensing
stuff from Kodansha.

Anyway, I feel confident based on the translation of the 1st "Boogiepop" novel that
Seven Seas is the way to go for the "Shin Tenchi Muyo" novels.

Cool!
