My college Anime club had a recent reunion dinner for past club 
presidents.  So I went down to Anaheim afterwork to meet them... then I 
thought... weird..  why the Japanese guy in costume outside of Bucca di 
Beppo (that's where we ate)....  came in sat down.. said some hellos to ppl 
haven't seen in a while.. then it struck me.

AX is this 4th of July weekend, and today tonight is probably pre-reg.. and 
they are all staying in their hotel rooms, so they just came down the 
street for dinner... conveniently, the past presidents and club members 
dinner.  So after dinner I dropped them off at the convention 
center/Hilton.. and thought wow.. the new convention center is nice with 
the big huge AX banner...  how nostalgic.

The last time I went to AX it was still in Long Beach....

but the days of Anime are nostalgic.....  the Tenchi laserdiscs that hang 
in my hallway are a reminder of what I used to love... and the Tenchi art 
books that sit on display on my coffee table.

funny... the waitress.. she was a cutie... was a bit freaked out at our 
table.  It was a mixture of greasy guys that hadn't shaved in days with 
hair they hadn't cut in a month arguing about manga with kenshin shirts... 
and the guys that just got off their job the local IT/Engineering firm in 
their khakis.  She didn't get it.

buy just imagine if we to Fritz That's Too instead!!!  just imagine the 
look on the bouncers and the girls!
