There was no verbal comment made, and it's hard for me to tell facial
features, especially since the ligting in the exposition hall was
absolutely horrible (on the first day, I couldn't see anything in the
dealer's room, without a hand lamp). However, I'm pretty sure there was
a grimace and shrug involved.  But since I referenced some of the
things they did wrong, and was questioning them at the same time on
whether they were going to continue the practice, I think some of the
silence was due to their own knowledge of how it pissed a lot of the
fans off.

Well that could change at any time, even as late as a month before
release (though that would be really tough, since it implies delays
required in actual pressing).  ADV learned from this -- though they
wouldn't admit it outright (I did manage to see the first ADV panel) --
The 2 episode per disc Gantz release was "successful" <grin> but they
bailed on it, as the last half of the series will be 3 or 4 eps per
disc.
The Tenchi disc could be 3 and 4, but you are right, it most probably
will cross 3 discs.  However, if they are smart, the midpoint stuff
will be on disc 2, and the special on disc 3.  After all, with the
flashback stuff on ep 1, the episode was 45 minutes, and with the all
the promotional stuff AIC and VAP put out, it could make a significant
extras package for disc 1.
We'll just have to see.

There was that definite, "we'll never answer that fully" type of
response.
Imagine if they had actually gone after the original English VAs last year...
