No, I skipped 2004. At 2003, I just couldn't get excited about 95% of the announcements/previews/what
have you. And a good chunk of the time when I recognized a title, it was for a concept
or storyline that I'd already dismissed. So I decided not
to go in 2004.

Every year I'll see a few series that catch my interest (Vandread, RahXephon, and
GitS: SAC are all examples of this over the past few years ), and all of those series
have come to my attention through other sources. So the episodes they show almost

invariably end up being either stuff I've already seen, or stuff that ends up not
interesting me at all (the only real noteable exception was Big O II in 2003). And
the announcements are usually pieces of information that I can pick up from other

sources. For instance, Gunota (http://aeug.blogspot.com) invariably has everything
I'd want to know about Gundam information.

It was nice seeing the Macross anniversary panel (which included, among other things,
a story about Shouji Kawamori building a small scale transforming Valkyrie out of
newspapers :p ), but I vaguely remember being disappointed with the time we all
spent at the Funimation presentation waiting for information on GXP - and getting
very little. The sensation that I remember the most from 2003 is boredom. I think
part of the problem is that just about all that gets imported anymore is the newer

stuff. And any given TV season is typically only going to have a couple of shows
that you're really interested in. That's basic TV sense (or at least it is for me).

I still haven't really looked at the schedule of events this year, and I have coincidentally
asked for that time off at work, so its possible I'll decide at the last minute to
put in an appearence. But at the moment I don't have any plans to attend.
