Two things (though I know Pioneer completely ignored me when I pointed
out the thousands of dollars per month they were losing to pirates on
ebay... and ebay's protection policy to their big pirates as "power
sellers"_...
1. Take the book back to the bookseller you got it from. Demand a
refund, because it IS a CENSORED product (this tends to catch the
seller's attention, especially if you werite it in large letters on the
refund authorization slip. Make certain you have both the original
receipt and the refund receipt... Staple them together, and send them
to Viz, with a very polite but irate letter explaining why (address it
to the President or CEO of the company).
If you got the book online, call your CC company and tell them you want
to cancel it, since the product is damaged (cesorship IS damage!).
Then contact the company you got it from and ask them to take it back
and refund you money... Do not accept them refusing to pay for
shipping or anything else. Get ALL your money back, since they sent
you defective merchandise. This will get the seller's attention. If
they don't agree, have your CC company deny the charges.

2. Call Viz's retail line (if they still have one), and tell them about
it, and demand to talk to a person in administration. Keep doing this
fore every manga they release censored. If enough people do this, it
will really get their attention fast.

And, of course, stop buying the said manga, and get fansubbed
translations, until they correct the problem. After all, if they are
censoring the product, and the original publisher doesn't mind the
fansubbed material -- Viz's rights aren't being stepped on, as they are
selling a different product...

Hell, I told ADV by phone I wouldn't buy Eden's Bowy until they could
prove I wouldn't get the f'd up copies. And I won't buy Gantz from
them when they think 2 episodes per disc is acceptable for a 26 ep
series in the US. The price isn't too bad, but jeez, talk about
stupidity in marketing... Hell, ADV has deliberately been stretching
series to 7 discs, just for the extra money... It's annoying for so
many reasons, especially since nothing in that choice benefits the
consumer in ANY way. </rant>
