Off-topic, but I really have to question that
assumption that Ryoko could have beaten Kagato. She
couldn't or didn't bother beat Kagato for 4300 years,
700 years prior.

I always figured that Kagato overrode her Masu with
his will (Masu follow strongest will as explained
OAV2) like when he turned her into stone during that
battle. She only reverted back with Washu's help in
the dreamworld(her even stronger will).

Another example of this is when Ryoko merging with
stone and becoming giant Ryoko. She grabbed Kagato in
her hand but when she tried anything, she simply fell
apart (again, I assume an override of wills with the
Masu).

I always wondered on Washu's assumption on Ryoko being
able to defeat Kagato - because even Washu was
surprised during battle with Kagato's tech - more
specifically the gems he developed for the Souja,
which, according to him, could pull far more power
than Ryoko's gem.

Of course, not everybody is complety honest or
infallible :)
