Check it out yourself. If you have BitTorrent, you can watch the mini-series, or
if the DVD has been released, rent it. I thought the mini-series was pretty good
with a few weak spots.

the mini-series into that sort of a show.

This ain't no soap opera. It is a surprisingly realistic, dark, and gritty show.
I say realistic because characters are doing realistic things and the tech on board
is a little closer to ours (nukes, missles, projectile weapons).

Sci-Fi.

The ratings on SciFi were very good. However, SciFi is a cheap channel. A mini-series
was one thing, but you know what they did to "Farscape". The only reason that got
a conclusion mini-series was because someone else ponied up the money.

Same thing with the new BSG. SkyOne in Great Britian coughed up some dough to cover
expenses and in return, got permission to play the entire first season (13 episodes)
first.

Seriously, check it out and see for your self (the mini-series). The TV series is
even better.
