I was under the silly impression that the cute little cabbit transformed
(somehow...) in the crystalline ship form, and they were not physically
separate constructs.  Based on my probably-invalid assumption, I wrote some
conjecture on a mechanism within one of my fanfics; however, if there are
physically separate structures, then that idea is blown completely out of
the water (like so many others....).
