I'll have to wait and see what reasons are given and forces used in the
upcoming episode, but based on some of the character abuse in the last
3 episodes, I'm worried.

Thank you, I have been saying this very thing since OVA 14 came out.  Ryoko's 
expression has been degraded (read: drawn ugly), her attributes made cruder 
(i.e., lazy and whining, irregardless of her moments with Ryo-ohki), and her 
capabilities diminshed (she's no longer as tough as she once was).  I sure as 
hell hope there is a good explanation for it.

And I still think Mihoshi is getting the shaft, too.  What a waste....
