I liked the opening.  No not as good as the 1st OVA opening (or any other 
Tenchi series
 
save the 2nd OVA) but still, I enjoyed it.  The instrumentals were decent, 
but nothing
 
fantastic.  Initially, I thought I saw reflections of characters on the white 
shroud at
 
the beginning.  The first shot of Ayeka reminded me of the 3rd episode as 
much as the
 
shot of Ryoko atop the tree reminded me of MnE.  The first shot of Mihoshi is 
very
 
unflattering.  My favorite part was the last shot for nostalgic reasons as 
the end music
 
winds up and then is followed by a drum roll, much like the end of the 1st 
OVA opener.
 
Overall, I liked the animation style and color, and the lack of actual 
"animated
 
movement" did not bother me at all.  I'm quite excited.
