One of the non-Tenchi shows we (primarily Greg, Kathy, and I, iirc) discussed
a while back finally has its second part coming out. AX aired the first two
episodes of Big O 2. Originally, the plan was to air dubbed episodes Friday
night, and subbed episodes Saturday night, but somewhere along the line
things were changed, and the dubbed versions played both nights. It appears
as if the dubbing was just recently finished, as the copies provided to the
convention had the little timing counter running at the bottom of the screen.
But the important thing is that since the dubbing is in process or finished,
the whole series should be ready very shortly.
Of course, the only reason the second series was created was because of the
show's popularity in the US. Both Cartoon Network and its employees are
plastered all over the credits (though the credits are still predominantly
Japanese), and it appears that Cartoon Network directly contributed to the
show in some fashion, probably in a financial way. I wouldn't be surprised
if CN had part ownership of the second series (much the way ADV has done with
a number of titles, such as BGC 2040), although I don't know if that is the
case.
I would like to say a couple of things about the episodes, and while I won't
try to give anything away, these could be considered spoilers, so, consider
yourself warned.

The two episodes are quite different. The first one picks up where 13 left
off with the military police on the wharf while Big O faces off with three
Mega-Deus in the water. Without saying too much, this is definitely the
strangest Big O episode I've seen to date, and I'm hoping it makes a little
more sense when I've seen the entire series. The one point of interest that
I noticed is that the episode left the impression that Roger sees Angel's
"help" as largely a positive thing.
The second episode is more of a standard episode, with Roger taking a job on
behalf of a client. The job ends up providing Roger (and the viewers) with
some insight into the events of episode 13, as well as a surprising
revelation or two. Ultimately, more questions are created, but only in the
process of providing interesting answers to other questions.
