Not having vendors is cool. The monsters drop better, you need more
interaction
with other players to get the best items, or you get off your ass and make
them
yourself. Also, not having to worry about missile ammunition and food is a
good
thing. I understand the RPG aspect of having to keep count of the arrows,
throwing
axes, etc that you possess, but it is annoying to constantly have to run to
town or
skill for ammunition while the fighter levels away and the magic user rests
to gain
his MP's back. AC2 needed this touch to push the lack of NPC's and a more
action
oriented adventuring game. I'm still having fun so far, but I haven't seen
the bad  or
really annoying stuff yet.
