His name is Seiryou, and we don't really know much about him... only
that he was the suiter Ayeka's Father wanted her to marry since Yosho
wouldn't.

Mike already said it, but yes, the house was leveled in ep 7 "the night
before the carnival."  luckely, it was rebuilt... better than ever. 
This is why the first scenes in ep 8, "hello baby," was scenes of just
the house.  ^_-
