This is simple.  Remember ep 7 of the OAV....you know the one where Ryoko and 
Aeka plot to get rid of the other girls in the house so they can do after 
Tenchi.  Well....Mihoshi comes back early and sorta crashes.......taking the 
house with her.  The house gets rebuilt, probably with Washu's help, by ep 8 
which is where you learn about Washu having had a baby once.
