All I'd say is, since spell check is there to cover the fact that none
of us is perfect, why don't you bother to use it on your ML posts?
(I know that's a bit hypocritical of me to ask, since I don't use spell
check myself...but that's because, unless I'm in a big hurry, I usually
read through a message I'm about to send several times, editing it each
time).

Well, I guess I'd go a little further. I'd say that while you don't
have to edit the messages you post, doing so shows that you care about
what you're saying. If your posts aren't worth the effort you'd have
to put in editing them, are they worth the reader's effort to
understand them? Different people will have different answers to
this question for the same message...if you want more people to
read and respond to your messages, you might benefit by editing your
messages at least a little.

A lack of editing shows a lack of interest in what readers think of
your writing. Editing is a courtesy as well as practical habit.
Unless you're JeffK, in which case incoherence is the point.
