I remember people mentioning 'anime style music videos' here...but I didn't pay any attention. I seem to remember seeing part of one....but I can't remember where. Then the other day I caught the Gap commercial on Tivo and played it a bunch of times for my family. I just was crazy about the music which seemed very "Tenchi-ish" sounding, with robot guys who moved like TMBG. Perfect! I just loved it. And I was pretty convinced that the song was from the eighties! Today I made Jacob find out who the guys were who did the Gap song, and it was Daft Punk. So we looked up info on them, and didn't see a thing about an anime video. Then a couple hours ago Jacob says "Hey, Daft Punk's videos are going to be on Toonami tonight!" I though that was pretty damn ironic. And I didn't even believe him! So now we have just watched them twice, clearly they were designed by the Galaxy Express 999 artist, right? I want to know what happens next. Very cool.... I am nuts for the song that I now know is called "Digital Love". A few days ago, earlier today I had no idea who they were or the name of the song, now I am a fan. So much of what we like connects to other things... small world.
