Well an average CD-Writer goes for about $4-700.  and the media an average
of %5.00-14.00.  And also the lower the price means that you buy in bulk.

Getting a 2x4 writer isn't all that bad too.  (2x4 = 2x Write, 4x Read)

HP has a very good line, along with JVC, and Phillips.  I've never tried the
Ricoh lines yet.  So I can't make a good review yet.
