It’s guaranteed now except during events. Effectively, the EN version is almost
exactly a year behind the JP version.

I second this. The most guaranteed way to build up your team is to get the event SRs
and also get to the 2nd tier (which has gotten easier because they’ve started
to expand the tiers). Well, the most guaranteed way to build up your team is to
throw thousands of dollars into loveca gems (they are called gems in the EN version),
and draw away, but most of us don’t have those kind of wallets. :P

Yeah, once you’ve idolized and maxed them out (level and kizuna/bond wise),
they only take up space. I hold on to a bunch so I remember which N cards I have or
haven’t idolized yet, but I’ve started tossing most of them away.

Been there, done that, glad I don’t have to do that anymore. :P

But a new player does have an advantage of sorts during the event time; use your level
ups wisely to coincide with running out of LPs to maximize your event points. You
should be able to level up quickly during events and not have to use so many gems

(stones).
