The new event began last week, called "Medley Festival".
You can play up to three songs in a row as a medley.

To start one game, you choose the difficulty level and the
number of songs, and the system chooses the songs.
All of the songs are the same level (easy, normal, hard, EX)
and color (smile, pure, cool).
The more songs you choose, the more event points you get.

The LP cost for playing the medley is less than a normal song,
as it's 12 for hard and 20 for EX. So for a three song medley,
it's 36 LP for hard and 60 LP for EX.

Before the medley starts you choose your team, and you have
to play all the songs with the same team.
This isn't a problem for hard. But for EX, if there's one
hard song, I have to play the entire medley with my recovery
team instead of my best team for that color.

Fortunately, you get the same points (per LP) for a
hard S score and a EX C score. If you can get a B score
or better in a EX medley, it's better to play that than hard.

During the medley, all of the combo and life points continue
from one song to the next. Since the life points don't recover
after the song, playing three EX in a row can be dangerous.
Also the requirements for getting a combo (A, B, C) is about
three times harder. So you basically have to do a full combo
on one song to get a C combo for the medley.

At the end of the medley, you get cards like normal games,
but there are some special cards.
For normal games and the score match event, you just get 2 or 3
normal cards, with a R card popping up very rarely.

For this event there are three ranks of prize cards:
bronze, silver, and gold.
I'm not sure what the criteria is for the different ranks
but I see the silver popping up more often when I play
a medley of three EX than hard.

For the silver and gold prizes, there are some pretty good cards,
like R cards and specials (alpaca, Nico's sisters, teachers, etc).
I'm not sure if this is random, or based on your score and combo.
When I play a three EX medley, I seem to get one R every three
games or so (C or B score and 0 combo).

So in addition to the SR at the end, one of the goals in this
event is the silver and gold prizes.

As for the cutoff predictions, the average daily score is very
close to that of the score match event, and there doesn't seem
to be any way to "hide" your score as with the normal events,
so I'll assume the curve is going to be just like the score match.
After a few medley festival events, I might come up with a
slightly different algorithm.

Right now the pace is EXTREMELY high!
It's probably due to the combination of a new event and popular girl.
I'm glad it wasn't Kotori.
