For buses, most bus routes going through those major areas are
stopped, but other routes are still running.  Trains and subways are
still running normally, but with a few exits of a few stations closed
for safety reason.  Majority offices and shops are operating normally.

For visitors, please avoid going to those districts (Central,
Admiralty, etc) especially at night, otherwise it is safe.

On the other hand, the footage of Ontakesan volcano incident was much
more scarier than the demonstrations in HK.
