|Just wondering, have you ever seen Grave of the Fireflies?

Yes, I got to see it around 91 or so at a college theater with
my anime club then. The story was very tragic, but it didn't
have much impact on me. I suppose the characters never
connected with me so I lacked that empathy needed to give
me a stronger response.

It's like movies and tv shows. I've only ever cried from watching
3 films.

Armageddon (the ending just got me for some reason)
Apollo 13 (the dark side of the moon part got me)
My Life (fantastic drama that is emotionally draining)

When I managed Blockbuster Video stores I'd recommend
My Life to people looking for a good Drama. I never heard
of anyone not tearing up at least during the film. It's just
so powerful. Best acting by Michael Keaton possible.
