The current event in the Love Live game is a new kind of event.
In the previous events, you just played a lot of normal songs
with normal rules, and then played the event songs for the score.
But in the current event, you play certain selected songs,
and you compete against other players during every game.
So the score of every game counts.

Getting enough points to get the SR card is pretty much about
the same. If you play everyday and come close to maximizing
your LP, you'll have no problem getting the SR. Even if you
suck at the game and you can't get a good score.. like me.

In the current game, you play in sets of 4, and you compete with
others for the top score. The top person gets a 25% bonus,
the second gets 15%, and the third person gets 5%.
Also the final score rank (S, A, B, C) also gets bonus points.
So being good (and having good cards) is very important.

The game gives you 1 out of 12 songs randomly.
Until today (the first 5 days of the event) there were only 6 songs,
and they were among the harder ones to get S rank (at hard level).
The songs added today have some easier songs.

In the previous events the scores for the normal games didn't
matter so I didn't have to try hard, and I was able to play with
my green team (green has the life recovery cards).
Also it gave me a chance to grow the new cards.
I can't do that now as the new cards will make your score go down.

Also because we were able to play the event songs whenever we liked,
I was able to time my rank ups at convenient times for me.
Now I can't do that, so I lose out with wasted LPs.

In the previous events, I have been able to get into the top 24000,
and get the bonus invitation card (equivalent of 5 stones).
In the last event, I even made it into the top 12000, and got the
extra teacher bonus.
But this time it seems I'll be cutting it close with the 24000.
Maybe this event has more players.. or this format is making it
harder for me because the score counts every time.
If I'm losing around 10% every time because my score sucks,
that might make a big difference in the overall rankings.

One thing I noticed was that at 9AM Japan time, the competition
is pretty weak. I was able to get 1st place at hard level most
of the time. Maybe all the good people are still sleeping, or
went to work. (^_^;
But at night (20:00 to 25:00), the competition is tough.
