Event Kon'ya mo Otakuzake vol.14
Location Asagaya Loft A
Date 2010.09.25
Time 19:00 - 23:00 (?)
Cost 1800 yen + food and drinks
Guest Maru Maru Gakuen Housoubu
           many others

The Kon'ya ha Otakuzake event was a hard core otaku talk event with
professional otaku and some industry guests. The Maru Maru Gakuen
Housoubu girls were a guest for this event. They were the first
performers, so I went early and left right after the Maru Gaku stage.

Asagaya Loft A was bar plus event space. They had tables for people
to eat and drink like a normal izakaya. The stage was pretty small
and very low (around waist high). The people in the very front row
sat right next to the stage.

There were also seats along both walls. I stayed in the very back
along the right wall (to make it easier to take photos and videos).

There were over 50 people in the crowd. Luckily it was no-smoking.

The Maru Gaku stage started at around 19:20 and ended at around 19:40.
All ten of the Maru Gaku girls appeared for this event, but they sang
in various combinations. They sang the following four songs.

    - Motto Motto Tokimeki
    - Brigar
    - Gingaman
    - Chousei Kantai Sazer-X

They sang all of the songs in groups of five. There was only one
wireless mike, and the other girls used wired mikes. So when they
danced and turned around, they had to make sure they didn't trip
on the wires.

The first song was "Motto Motto Tokimeki".
The singers were Haruka, Kanako, Tomoko, Nao, and Kana. They all wore
cute school girl-like outfits. Kana held the wireless mike, and the
four others held the wired mikes. The girls introduced themselves
while singing.

Just after "Motto Motto Tokimeki", Non-chan (Hino Kanako) started to
sing "Hare Hare Yukai", but Megumi said to stop the music. Then when
they introduced themselves as Maru Maru Gakuen Housoubu, Non-chan
introduced herself as AKB48. So they managed to stick in a little
humorous skit into their act.

The second song was "Ginga Senpuu Braiger".
The singers were Megumi, Shiraishi Miki, Saori, Amano Miki, and Yuki.
They all wore their white parka outfits. Shiraishi Miki held the
wireless mike, Saori and Megumi held the wired mikes, and Amano Miki
and Yuki danced.

The third song was "Seiyuu Sentai Gingaman".
The singers were Kanako, Haruka, Tomoko, Megumi, and Nao.
They all wore the black Maru Gaku T-shirts. Nao held the wireless mike,
Megumi and Haruka held the wired mikes, and Tomoko and Kanako danced.

The fourth song was "Chousei Kantai Sazer-X", the first time that
Maru Gaku sang this song at an event.
The singers were Saori, Kana, Yuki, Amano Miki, and Shiraishi Miki.
They all wore slightly sexy black outfits. They rotated the mikes
and positions while singing and dancing.

After all of the songs, all ten girls came back onto the stage for a
short talk session with the host.

Photos and videos allowed of the Maru Gaku stage. But it was pretty
dark most of the time, and during the songs they rotated the colored
lights, so it wasn't easy to take photos.

I brought my EOS 20D and 24-105mm F4L IS lens, and Powershot S90.
I took photos when the girls were talking, and videos when they
were singing.

It seems the lighting gets worse at each event.
I hope they have an event at a well lit place (and allow pics).
